How earned wage access works, step by step

Earned wage access follows the same basic path with most providers: confirm that you are earning, transfer part of what you have earned, and settle up when your paycheck lands. Here is how each step works with PayBridger.

    1. Create your account and connect your bank

You sign up, share some details about your job and pay schedule, and connect the bank account where your paycheck is deposited. PayBridger uses Plaid to securely verify your bank and recent payroll deposits.

    2. Your earned wages are verified

Your verified paycheck history tells us that you are being paid and when your next payday is. Your dashboard then shows the earned wages available to you.

    3. Choose a plan and transfer

Financial insights are always free. Wage transfers are part of PayBridger Plus. When you transfer, you choose standard delivery or optional instant delivery for a fee.

    4. Automatic repayment on payday

On your next payday, the amount you accessed is collected automatically from your bank. It equals exactly what you accessed. There is no interest.

    How your access can grow

Your daily access starts at a set level and increases automatically as you build a repayment history with us. Each on-time repayment moves you closer to the next level. Your actual available amount may be less than your level maximum based on your verified earned wages.

PayBridger is not a payday lender, not a cash advance provider, and not a loan. PayBridger provides access to wages you have already earned and are owed by your employer. No interest is charged. No credit check is required. Repayment is collected automatically from your next paycheck and equals exactly what you accessed, nothing more.
